Racing Club Petanque are members of the British Petanque Asssociation Southern Region and have a team in Divison One and another in Divison Two.

Club Times:

Match nights are normally wednesdays, home or away.
Thursday nights from 2000 hrs. is practice night, all are welcome.
Sunday lunchtime when the weather improves!

To join Racing Club you have to be a member of Basingstoke Rugby Club.

Petanque is also known around the world as Boules. It can be played outdoors by everyone no matter what their age or athletic ability All it takes to play is three steel balls and one small wooden ball called a cochonnet.

Players throw their steel balls in attempt to get closest to the cochonnet, the player with their ball(s) closest to the cochonnet wins the points, in a similar manner to lawn bowls.
